The MQI observation rubric captures the nature of the mathematical content available to students during instruction, as expressed in teacher-student, teacher-content, and student-content interactions. The rubric provides a framework for analyzing mathematics instruction in several domains, assigning scores to categorize instruction into different levels of quality.
