#  Elevating Professional Learning Through Research: MQI Coaching Becomes Affiliate of Research Partnership for Professional Learning (RPPL)

Ensuring professional learning (PL) opportunities for teachers truly move the needle in classrooms is no small feat. But one organization, the [Research Partnership for Professional Learning (RPPL)](https://annenberg.brown.edu/rppl), is taking a collaborative, evidence-based approach to identifying best practices that deliver results for both educators and students.

As a professional learning provider focused on coaching teachers to strengthen curriculum implementation, MQI Coaching understands the importance of grounding its work in evidence. That's why MQI Coaching is thrilled to announce its has become an Affiliate+ member of RPPL.

## What does RPPL do?

[Led by experts](https://annenberg.brown.edu/sites/default/files/rppl-agenda.pdf) in teacher learning and improvement—including Dr. Heather Hill, MQI Coaching’s PrincipaI Investigator— RPPL brings together professional learning providers, researchers, and schools to build an infrastructure supporting high-quality research on teacher learning.

The goal? To leverage causal research to systematically study teacher engagement, skill development, and long-term enactment of new practices in order to share insights that its affiliates can apply into practice.

## What does it mean for MQI Coaching to be a RPPL Affiliate+?

As an Affiliate+, MQI Coaching will continue to apply evidence-based strategies in its coaching model and contribute to and learn from RPPL's network through engagement programming. The MQI Coaching team will participate in collaborative initiatives to explore pressing questions through ongoing studies.

By joining the RPPL community, MQI Coaching reaffirms its dedication to advancing educational equity. Just as our coaching services support teachers in elevating their practice, we understand that providing high-quality coaching means constantly learning and elevating our practice based on what really makes an impact. Together, we aim to work toward [RPPL’s mission](https://annenberg.brown.edu/rppl) of identifying, sharing, and enacting PL that improves teachers’ instructional practices and students’ classroom experiences, well-being, and academic growth.
