**Welcome Back to a New School Year!**

As classrooms fill with students and the energy of new possibilities, we look forward to another year of meaningful work, collaboration, and innovation. As always, we remain focused on finding the best ways to support math teachers, improve math instruction, lead effective professional learning, and ultimately improve outcomes for all our students.

**Fall Highlights:**

- **E-Coaching Success:** Long time MQI [e-coaching](/coaching-teachers "MQI e-coaching for Math Teachers") partner, [Lost Hills Union School District](/how-mqi-coaching-helped-teachers-transform-practice-and-improve-student-performance "E-coaching Case Study") reported its highest math proficiency rates since adopting Common Core, along with a significant drop in students at the lowest performance levels.
- **Automated Feedback + Coaching Research:** Our work with [M-Powering Teachers](https://edsi.umd.edu/projects/m-powering-teachers) continues to expand, providing [automated feedback to support teachers](/news/2025/01/introducing-m-powering-teachers-math-coaching-ai-assist "Introducing M-Powering Teachers: Math Coaching with an AI Assist") and supporting the communication of [multilingual learners](https://edunlp.stanford.edu/projects/math-out-loud) in mathematics classrooms.
