Join MQI Coaching experts from Harvard University for a self-paced, two-week online workshop that covers key components of our math-specific coaching model. The workshop is designed for school administrators, math coaches, and educators eager to strengthen their coaching expertise and/or develop a shared language for reflecting on and implementing high-quality, student-centered math instruction. The "Improving Math Instruction through Coaching" course provides an overview of the MQI Coaching model and an understanding of how to use the MQI Rubric for non-evaluative feedback and professional learning.

The program begins with an introduction to [Mathematical Quality of Instruction](https://mqicoaching.cepr.harvard.edu/mqi-research-study) (MQI) Coaching, the key components of the model, and the coaching protocols used to support teachers in analyzing and improving their own instruction. Participants then learn about these protocols in more depth, and can practice observing classrooms and engaging in coaching conversations. This work can be done using the MQI, or, if desired, participants’ own observation instrument. Finally, participants will explore strategies for using rubric-based coaching with video capture in their own settings.

- Certificate of completion: This program should take ten hours to complete, and participants who complete all individual assessments and contribute to group discussions on time will receive a certificate indicating completion of ten clock hours of instruction from MQI Coaching
